Cultural information for:
Soil media: General deciduous woodland soil is best. Add some peat and shredded dead leaves to garden/loam soil to prepare for planting. Mulch with shredded
dead leaves.
Light conditions: light shade to high open shade (70% shade cloth is satifactory).
Moisture requirements: keep soil damp. Likes to be a little drier late in the season. Must be well drained.
Fertilizing: general all-purpose fertilizer at 10-25% strength recommended for pot plants. Apply every three or four weeks up to mid-July.
Planting: plant with growth bud an inch or so below the surface. Roots should spread out flat with the tips slightly downward.
Hardiness: hardy in beds. Mulching is recommended. Not generally recommend for pot culture.
